Lawyers on Friday, September 12, 2025, staged a peaceful march in Nairobi to protest the assassination of Lawyer Kyalo Mbobu, who was killed earlier in the week in Karen. The procession, organised by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), began at Milimani Law Courts, proceeded through Kenyatta Avenue to the Town House building—where Mbobu had an office—and culminated at Vigilance House, the police headquarters. Marchers carried purple ribbons and placards as part of the “Purple Ribbon March,” calling for justice and accountability over the brutal killing.
