The Chairperson of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights Roseline Odede is dead. The commission’s Vice Chair Dr. Raymond Nyeris said Odede died on Friday after a short illness. Nyeris mourned Odede’s demise saying it is a big blow to the commission and the nation at large. President William Ruto is among leaders who send in their condolences messages eulogizing the late Odede as a formidable human rights champion and a distinguished campaigner for a more equal and a fairer society.
