A safe- to-school project has been launched at Kilimani Primary School aiming to enhance road safety for children. The program aims at upgrading infrastructure such as zebra crossings, speed bumps and sidewalks with protective bollards. 1,600 students in the school are set to benefit with a similar exercise having been undertaken at Kayole Primary School last year. Automobile Kenya worked is working with the Kenya Urban Roads Authority to mark school zones, install signage, repaint road markings, and provide road safety training for students and school marshals a project to be replicated across the country.
