A police officer from Machakos Police Station has taken the initiative of educating the community on matters of environmental conservation to help in the fight against climate change. Julius Mwenda through an innovative idea created a waste incineration tool that burns waste without emitting harmful gases. Through his efforts, Mwendwa has bagged awards both locally and internationally. Together with his colleagues Mwendwa continues to be involved in planting trees, collecting waste and burning it through the modern waste incinerator.
