Made In Kenya: BasiGo secured Ksh. 5.4 billion to expand EV fleet in Kenya and Rwanda

    Kenya’s electric mobility is projected to grow by 5% by 2030, as part of the country’s plan to move away from fossil fuels in a bid to combat climate change. To actualise this, BasiGo is one of the local ventures supplying electric vehicles to the multi-billion matatu industry. And as Edward Chweya reports, Basi Go is now locally assembling the EVs, with the aim of supplying at least 1000 electric buses by mid 2025.
