A section of MPs now want the former IEBC chairperson the late Wafula Chebukati to be given a state funeral. Led by Gatundu South Gabriel Kagombe the leaders noted that Chebukati's patriotic nature qualifies him for a decent send off and called on the government to respect him by giving him a state burial. The former IEBC chair died while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital following a long illness.
