MPs back to chambers after a 2-week recess

    The National Assembly will this afternoon resume the Third Part of the Third Session after a two-week recess. Top on their agenda is the Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2023 which seeks to improve governance and administration of universities.The House is also expected to consider the Higher Education Loans Board (Amendment) Bill, 2022 which seeks to improve access to higher education financing as well as the Political Parties (Amendment) Bill, 2022, which seeks to strengthen the regulatory framework for political parties in Kenya. National Assembly proceeded on a two-week recess on the 22nd of October after consideration of the nomination of Prof. Kithure Kindiki to fill the Deputy President position on Friday of 18th October.
