The former Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha now says she was not aware of the former deputy president's interference with the procurement process in the sh3.7b mosquito nets scandal, which saw the global fund pull the plug on the process, citing corruption. Nakhumicha who appeared before the national assembly committee on defense, intelligence and foreign relations for vetting today for the position of permanent mission of Kenya to the un-habitat, Nairobi, said millions of shillings were lost due the massive irregularities in the procurement process.
