The Country is currently grappling with 27.4 percent cases of teenage pregnancies among girls aged between 15 and 18 years. According to a situational analysis report released on Thursday by education lobby group FAWE Kenya, Narok, Kajiado and Turkana Counties have the highest prevalence rates,with 43.3, 35.6 and 34.2 percent respectively.The report has further revealed that Garissa County leads in incidences of child marriages at 43 percent followed by Turkana at 38 percent and Nairobi at 22 percent. The report recommends implementation of programmes aimed at encouraging school going girls to speak out against the vices.
