NCA directs tenants to vacate defective buildings in Nanyuki town

    The National Construction Authority has instructed tenants of two-story buildings in Nanyuki town, Laikipia County, to vacate, labelling them as unsafe. The buildings, owned by the same businessman, are a 6-story and a 5-story structure have been leased for both residential and commercial purposes. In issuing the order, NCA Executive Director Morris Aketch stated that they had received complaints from the public regarding the construction of the buildings. After conducting an inspection, they discovered several building defects, prompting the decision to evacuate all tenants for their safety.
