Chief Justice Martha Koome has challenged constitutional commissions to have Kenyans' aspirations in mind in the exercise of their mandate. Koome says the Public Service Commission and the Salaries and Remuneration Commission are two indispensable pillars of Kenya's governance and must be seen to champion the people's interests. Koome was speaking when she oversaw the swearing-in of new commissioners to the two institutions.
