Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo has survived a second impeachment after the County Assembly failed to raise the numbers needed to send the county boss packing. 22 Ward Representatives voted in support of the impeachment motion, but their vote was one shy of the 23 required to have the motion approved by the Assembly. 12 other MCAs voted against the motion, handing the embattled county boss an unlikely lifeline in the seemingly divided Assembly. Nyaribo was accused of illegally employing two directors at the human resource department, conspiracy to defraud the county through payroll among others.
