Operations at the National Transport and Safety Authority, NTSA, were temporarily disrupted as demonstrators protested the rising cases of road accidents across the country.
Led by officials of the Road Safety Association of Kenya and the Speed Governors and Road Safety Association, the demonstrators accused NTSA of sleeping on the job as thousands continue to perish on Kenyan roads. The protesters, among them families who lost loved ones through accidents, presented their petition to the Ministry of Roads and Transport, demanding urgent reforms and leadership change within NTSA.
