A section of Kiama Kiama council of elders have blamed the low turnout of boys undergoing circumcision as a rite of passage on divisions within the leadership. Speaking after a circumcision ceremony of over 100 Boys in Kiambu, the elders faulted a section of the leadership for announcing the postponement of the rite of passage which contributed to the low numbers. Further, they called on the boys who participated in the ceremony to adhere to the training and focus on becoming responsible citizens.
