For a month now Moi university has remained closed due to unrelenting industrial action with dons and workers demanding payment of salaries and statutory deductions amounting to over 8 billion shillings. The institutions troubles became more apparent today when the parliamentary committee on education visited and held a meeting with the staff and sitting with the administrators of the school. And as our reporter Macharia Mbugua explains, the committee led by Tindiret MP Julius Melly who is the chairperson, advised the unions leaders to work towards a return to work formula with the administration and ensure that they agree and resume classes come Monday next week.
