In what seems to be a bow to the Gen Z protests and to avoid further backlash by the youthful movement, members of parliament, during a meeting with the parliamentary service committee, agreed to further cuts on their budget. The cuts include foreign travel and infrastructural projects, focusing instead on current issues directly affecting Kenyan households. While a section of parliamentarians agreed to the proposals made, others rejected them, citing constraints that will not only strain the PSC but also affect service delivery.
