The state Department for Social Protection and Senior citizen affairs in collaboration with Lumos foundation alliance has established the National Positive Parenting Training Service Center in Embu, which aims to promote positive parenting. Speaking during the launch of the service center Peter Ochieng on behalf of the social protection principal secretary ,highlighted that there have been 12 successful training of Social Development officers and children officers. He noted that the government is committed to strengthen families and eliminate violence against children through enhanced investment in social protection.
