President Ruto reshuffles his Cabinet for the third time

The need to fill the vacancy left by the appointment of Prof Kithure Kindiki as the country's third Deputy President has accorded President William Ruto the chance to change the outlook of his cabinet, the third such change in two years. The president's third cabinet now includes more members outside his political base and has also bestowed upon two individuals the title of the shortest serving cabinet secretaries in the country.
