President William Ruto has called on private hospitals which are yet to finalise enrolment with the Social Health Authority (SHA) to expedite the process in order to boost the country’s plans to attain Universal Health Coverage. In his Mashujaa Day Speech, the Head of State confirmed that all public hospitals had been enrolled along with 50% of private medical facilities. And as Serfine Achieng’ Ouma now reports, approximately 12.9 million Kenyans have registered with the Social Health Authority (SHA) so far.
