Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi has revealed that 100 women were murdered between August and November 2024. Mudavadi, who is also serving as the acting interior cabinet secretary, described femicide as the elephant in the room in the security sector. Kenya has so far recorded 7,107 cases of sexual and gender-based violence from September 2023 to date.
