Education stakeholders have called for fair and equal opportunities in the selection of grades 9 and 10 learners. The director of the excellence schools Moses Wokono said private schools are worried about the existing quarter system of selection that has long favoured public schools. This as he urged young learners to embrace the reading culture and invest in reading materials. He was speaking during the school’s Literacy Day which was picked to celebrate Kenyan young writers and authors and which was also this year's theme.
