The government is in the final stages of its plan to cede shareholding of the Postal Corporation of Kenya. This is according to John Tonui, the postmaster general, who says the move is aimed at encouraging the private sector to inject more capital into Posta, which will allow the company to diversify its operations to meet the changing needs of its customers. He argues that although Posta remains profitable, its profitability is now in jeopardy.
