Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki has pledged his unwavering loyalty to the president and the nation. Kindiki who took oath of office on Friday morning at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi expressed gratitude for lessons learnt in the course of his public service career terming his new status as the country’s second in command the highest honour in his life. Kenya’s third Deputy President under the current constitution, assumed office hours after the High Court lifted conservatory orders barring his swearing-in after his predecessor Rigathi Gachagua was impeached by Parliament .
