The proposal by Mbeere North lawmaker Geoffrey Ruku to infringe article 37 of the constitution on freedom of expression has been termed as retrogressive and ill-motivated. Speaking during the Bunge la Mwananchi national leadership workshop in Naivasha led by its chairperson Lawrence Oyugi ,the members have called on the executive and the parliament to observe the sovereign power of the people and respect the supremacy of the constitution.
