The religious institutions have pledged to work closely with Kenya prisons service in dealing with issues of mental health among officers and reforming inmates through spiritual guidance. Imam of Jamia Mosque sheikh Jamaludin Osman who was speaking during the official opening of Nairobi west mosque in Nairobi County said the intervention would see the construction of more mosques and churches in prison premises that would also offer counselling services to prison officers.
