National government administration officers and the police in Kilifi North Sub County, Kilifi County have apologized for the brutal harassment of Uyombo residents in Matsangoni area over the controversial nuclear power plant project earmarked for the area.In a public meeting at Uyombo area recently, Kilifi North Deputy County Commissioner Samuel Mutisya acknowledged that excess force had been used against residents who are opposing the 500 billion shillings project. Several people were wounded with others nursing gunshot wounds while scores others were arrested for continuously protesting against the construction of the power plant in the area.
