The residents of Tomiyoi village in Samburu County are threatening to put down an elephant that attacked and killed a ranger on duty on Sunday night. The residents say the marauding jumbo has wreaked havoc in the region for months, killing 7 people in the last 10 months alone. They want the Kenya Wildlife Service to contain the animal to avert more deaths.
