Retired Catholic Bishop Philip Sulumeti was buried on Friday in Kakamega with mourners eulogizing him for his transformative work in education and healthcare. The burial was attended by his family, friends, the clergy and top government officials led by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. Mudavadi in hailing his contribution through establishment of schools and health care facilities described his funeral as a “solemn yet celebratory farewell” befitting a man of unwavering faith.
