Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Performance and Delivery Management, Eliud Owalo, has praised the government’s strides in revitalizing Kenya’s economy, pointing to reduced inflation, stronger revenue collection, and improved foreign exchange reserves as signs of recovery. Speaking during the Second Annual National Conference of Economists 2025 at the Diani Reef Beach Resort and Spa in Kwale County, Owalo said Kenya’s economy—once “on its deathbed” in 2022—has been placed on firmer ground through deliberate fiscal and monetary interventions.
