Ruto announces Ksh 5b youth business start-up grant, Nyota

The government has announced a 5 billion shillings youth business start - up grant, Nyota, targeting a total of 820,000 youth countrywide. President William Ruto who presented the details of the new fund to principal secretaries at State House Nairobi, said the initial batch will see each of the 101,500 youth receive ksh 50,000 as business support grant, aimed at addressing youth unemployment in the country. And as Seth Olale reports, the head of state also gazetted the appointments of the new registrar of political parties and several envoys.
