You will soon be able to access emergency care services for free under the social health authority. Sha CEO Dr Mercy Mwangangi, has announced plans by the authority to establish a national ambulance dispatch center that will coordinate emergency response.
According to Dr. Mwangangi, individuals will call a designated number, enabling the identification of their location for prompt ambulance dispatch. SHA will cover ksh 4,500 for evacuation to an emergency facility within 25km and pay for services received within the first 24 hours for all Kenyans, regardless of whether they are registered under SHA or not.
