Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday asked residents of Muminji Ward in Mbeere North not to “betray their own son,” Newton Kariuki popularly known as Karish ahead of the upcoming by-elections. Speaking during a campaign stop in the area, Gachagua said Karish understands the needs of the community and is best placed to champion development for the ward. He urged voters to rally behind the local candidate, insisting that leadership should remain with someone who knows the struggles and priorities of the people.
