Susan Nakhumicha, nominated as Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the UN Habitat in Nairobi has defended her tenure in the office of the CS Health saying her firing last year was not a sign of incompetence. Speaking when she appeared before the National Assembly Defense, intelligence and foreign relations committee, Nakhumicha also distanced herself from the Sh3.7B mosquito nets scandal which saw the country lose millions of shillings in the bangled procurement process. Others who appeared for the approval hearing include Dr. Caroline Karugu, nominee for Principal Secretary, State Department for East African Community (EAC) Affairs and former Sports PS Peter Tum who was nominated to the Ambassador Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
