At least 10 people have been confirmed dead, while 20 others left nursing serious injuries following a road accident that occurred at the Iguhu area along the Kakamega -Kisumu highway. According to eye witnesses, the Wednesday evening’s carnage involved 2 public service vehicles, both heading to Kisumu and a fuel tanker that was travelling on the opposite direction. The tanker is said to have veered off the road, ramming into the 2 public service vehicles. Police say efforts to pursue the driver of the ill-fated tanker who took off immediately after the accident and whose identity remains unidentified are in progress.
