Stakeholders in the tourism sector in Kwale County have initiated the process of drafting legislation for the management of beaches along the Indian Ocean to enhance tourism and businesses conducted along the shores.The proposed Kwale Beach Management Bill of 2025 aims to provide guidelines for regulating tourism infrastructure, ensuring the safety of tourists, and maintaining cleanliness in the ocean once it becomes law. Awareness about the bill continue to be raised before its presented to the Kwale County Assembly for debate before being passed into law.
