Trump Tariffs: What does it mean for Africa - BBC Africa
All eyes are on Africa following the announcement of new trade tariffs by the US President Donald Trump.
Among the African countries hit hardest by the tariffs are Lesotho and Madagascar which will now be charged fifty percent and forty-seven percent on exports to the US. This could lead to significant job losses especially as clothing factories were set up specifically to supply the US market under a tax free agreement.
