Kenyan youths have been urged to polish their technical skills to improve their work output and increase their chances of employment in the different informal sectors in the country and abroad. Principal Secretary for Technical, Vocational Education and Training Dr Esther Muoria speaking during a graduation ceremony at the North Eastern Province Polytechnic in Garissa, emphasized that employers are interested in persons with absolute skills, asking those with prior learning skills to present themselves for assessment and certification as there is a need to promote Recognition of Prior Learning.
