Residents of Nyathuna in Kabete Constituency of Kiambu County were left in shock, after two family members lost their lives after falling into a 120 feet deep well. The tragic incident occurred when a man identified as Ian, who was reportedly suffering from depression, attempted to take his own life by jumping into the well. His uncle Robert Ngugi, volunteered to go down and rescue him. However, what was supposed to be a rescue mission ended up being a fatal accident as both men lost their lives due to lack of oxygen. Their bodies were taken to Kikuyu Hospital mortuary as police launched investigations into the incident.
