The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has distanced itself from the ongoing wrangles over who should be the Mount Kenya kingpin, affirming that the party remains united under one leader, President William Ruto. Led by acting secretary general Hassan Omar during a forum with leaders from the nyanza region at the party headquarters in Nairobi, Omar stated that while leaders may have differences, it would be detrimental for the deputy president to attempt to run for any position against the President. This comes as divisions persist over the question of who should hold the Mount Kenya kingpin title.
