Former president Uhuru Kenyatta who is the facilitator of the East African community-led Nairobi peace process on the democratic republic congo conflict has submitted a report to EAC and SADC ahead of their joint summit tomorrow. Through a statement from his office, Uhuru believes that the Nairobi and Luanda process is the best approach to bring peace to DRC. As a facilitator, Uhuru appears to be sidelined by a section of EAC heads of state with DRC president Felix Tshisekedi faulted for slowing the process. This comes as Malawi announced the withdrawal of her troops from DRC.
