International justice experts have called for the advancement of accountability for international crimes committed in Sudan. Close to two years since conflict broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces, a UN fact-finding mission has established widespread crimes against humanity and atrocities committed against innocent civilians. The experts, who met in Nairobi, recommended the expansion of the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in Sudan as part of efforts to bolster its national justice systems.
