A group of people in Tana north, Tana river county are calling on the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) to fast-track the process of paying their dues which had been transferred to them by different institutions. The residents say they are yet to be paid unclaimed funds from bank-based savings accounts, SACCOs, insurance investments, and dividends accumulated over the years. the residents say they initiated the process of claiming the assets in 2020 and have not been successful to date. Over 113 people from the sub-county are said to hold unclaimed financial assets from their kin who have either retired or passed away causing the funds to fall under the supervision of UFAA.
