University staff at the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) began their strike today, citing the government’s failure to honor its promises. speaking at TUK, officials from the university academic staff union (UASU), kenya universities staff union (KUSU), and Kudheiha condemned delays in December salaries, non-payment of pensions for over six months, and the failure to remit third-party deductions. According to UASU, the government has failed to uphold an agreement signed on November 23, 2023, which ended a 24-day strike that had disrupted operations in 35 public universities
