State and non-state actors have been urged to involve the youth in the fight against violent extremists through economic empowerment programmes. The stakeholders say the youth, who are an easy target of radicalization can play a pivotal role in curbing terrorism. The National Counter Terrorism Centre NCTC Chief Liaison Officer Colonel Emmanuel Chirchir underscored the need for more coordination and an inclusive approach if the war on terrorism is to be won. He was speaking during a forum themed strengthening youth engagement in the fight against violent extremism.
