Wenye pikipiki katika kaunti ndogo ya Malindi wanaitaka serikali kuidhinisha kuwekwa kwa vifaa vya kufuatilia pikipiki zao hata baada ya kumaliza kulipa mikopo ya kuzinunua. Mwenyekiti wa chama wenye bodaboda katika eneo la Malindi, John Brandon Nzai amesema hatua hiyo itasaidia kupunguza wizi wa pikipiki ambao umepungua kwa asilimia 80 kufuatia kuwekwa kwa vifaa hivyo mbali na kuimarisha usalama kwa jumla. Hali kadhalika wanabodaboda wanaitaka serikali kubuni sera ambazo zitafanikisha uwekaji vifaa vya kudumu vya ufuatiliaji wa pikipiki. Walisema haya wakati wa hafla iliyoandaliwa na kampuni ya mikopo ya Watu na shirika la NTSA ambapo waendeshaji pikipiki 2000 walipata vyeti vya umiliki wa pikipiki zao.
