Volunteer waste collectors within the informal settlement in Kisumu want the government to devise a mechanism of sensitizing Kenyans, especially those living in formal areas on the need for proper waste disposal.While participating in the World Clean-Up Day in the informal Nyawita area, the environmental conservationists pointed out the need for waste segregation at the source, arguing it is the only effective sustainable way to rid the environment of litter.
