World happiness day : Happiness is self-made, Kiraitu says

Former Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi, now serving as the chief Happiness officer for the Happiness Society of Kenya, is urging citizens to embrace positivity. Speaking during an event to celebrate World Happiness Day, Kiraitu Murungi urged people that despite current economic pressures Kenyans are far much better off than they were years ago, especially with freedom of expression. He added that happiness is a choice since one might have everything and still be unhappy.
