The government is stepping up efforts to formally recognise skills gained outside the traditional classroom, as the first cohort under the Recognition of Prior Learning programme graduates in Nyeri. The Director of the RPL, Stanley Maindi, who presided over the first-ever Recognition of Prior Learning graduation ceremony at Mathenge Technical Training Institute in Nyeri County, says the move will help thousands with no formal academic qualification be certified based on their gifted skills.
