A middle-aged man has been lynched by members of the public in Kitengela town Kajiado County, after snatching a mobile phone from a pedestrian. The man is alleged to have tried brandishing a toy pistol in his bid to escape but was overpowered by the irate mob. Police officers who were nearby were unable to save him from their wrath. The locals have since raised concerns over rising cases of insecurity in the area, calling on the authorities to intervene.
