NEW BOREHOLES BRING RELIEF AS STATE SETS ASIDE SH100 MILLION FOR EXPANDED WATER ACCESS IN TAVETA

Principal Secretary for ASALs and Regional Development, Kello Harsama, announced the funding during the commissioning of two solar-powered boreholes in Wololo and Machungwani villages, Taveta Sub-county. The new boreholes are producing high yields—Machungani delivers 18,000 litres per hour while Wololo pumps 8,000 litres per hour—enough to sustain domestic needs, livestock, and over 50 acres of farmland.
